Sweetland is a historic mining and agricultural community located on the San Juan Ridge. One of the oldest towns in Nevada County, it was founded by Henry P. Sweetland in 1850. The Cemetery has about 30 interments, including several Sweetlands. The first burial was in 1855; the most recent in 2014.

channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Nevada Cemetery District
