Est. 1853. Closed to burials.
This cemetery is the smallest of the 27 district cemeteries with only 12 burial sites. Only a handful of historic headstones are present and they all belong to former Masonic members. A few other more recent stones are there and are likely family of those old timers. The California Masonic Lodge has placed a memorial plaque at the cemetery.
It is located on Alpha Omega Road (also called U.S. Forest Service Road 29) which is east of Washington Road off of Highway 20. To reach the cemetery, take Highway 20 from Nevada City towards Truckee. About two miles past Washington Road, turn left on Alpha Omega Road (Forest Service Road 29) and stay right at the fork. Continue to the Forest Service Road 29 sign on the right. Take the dirt road to the left directly across from the sign and proceed a short way to the cemetery.
