French Corral Cemetery

Est. 1853. Currently open to burials.

The town of French Corral is noted for having the world’s first long distance telephone line. The cemetery is the last stop in the town before descending into the South Yuba Canyon at Bridgeport.

French Corral Cemetery is located off of Pleasant Valley Road in the North San Juan area, between Highways 20 and 49.  To reach the cemetery, look for the Historical Telegraph Station Building on Pleasant Valley Road in French Corral and proceed west for about a quarter of a mile to the first right turn. Take this turn and proceed straight back to the cemetery.
